Many IKEA products break down resulting in serious injury or death. DANGEROUS STOOLS REPORTED, BUT MANAGEMENT DOES NOTHING. |

EXAMPLE PHOTOS: IKEA Emeryville uses their own brand of bar stool in their restaurant. A group of concerned customers reported that dozens of stools have loose screws, five of which were missing screws all together. There are screws rolling around on the floor, which customers reported to IKEA management. |

AFTER SEVERAL REPORTS TO MANAGEMENT 2-23-07 
IKEA has ignored this safety issue for over a year during which time hundreds of photos and video were taken of the dangers. IKEA Emeryville loss prevention manager Vic Jacinto doesn't appear to like customer suggestions. He claimed that reporting problems to the restaurant manager causes the staff to feel uncomfortable, and those who voice their complaints are not welcome at IKEA. The IKEA corporate office was contacted about the danger on Feb, 21st, but days later as you can see, corrective measures were not taken. As a student project hundreds of photos were taken several times weekly to document the lack of safety. |

Recently a customer spent the evening in the emergency room after a plastic chair broke, throwing them to the ground flat on their back resulting in a concussion. Broken dishes were quickly swept away, as well as the broken chair. Then the restaurant was back to business as usual. IKEA has a responsibility to provide a safe environment for their customers, and we will protest. IKEA has not yet commented on the issue.
